My Niche at Flying Colors
My life with dogs began in 2009 with an out of control Lhasa Apso mix puppy. After training with Flying Colors I developed the joy of dog ownership and all it can bring. Since I know first hand how frustrating an out of control pup can be, I love to teach people how proper training can help them enjoy their dogs more. So, I changed my career and started working at Flying Colors. I especially love working with high energy dogs (like my Border Collies) and helping owners to reach their off-leash goals. In addition, I am also a certified trick dog instructor through Do More With Your Dog. I continue my training by attending numerous seminars and certifications as well as competitive obedience courses.
My pack now consists of three dogs. Sophie is a 5 year old Lhasa Apso mix, Shiloh a 3 year old Border Collie, and Sloane a 1 year old Border Collie.
I enjoy the bonding time spent training my dogs. I’m a naturally competitive person, so I think obedience competition is fun! Sophie has earned her obedience titles in Beginner Novice and Companion Dog as well as her RN, RA, & RE in Rally Obedience and Canine Good Citizen. Shiloh has already titled in competitive obedience earning his Beginner Novice, Companion Dog, RN, RA & RE in Rally Obedience, and Canine Good Citizen as well as his novice, intermediate and advanced trick titles. Sloane has his novice trick title and Canine Good Citizen. Both Sophie and Shiloh are certified therapy dogs and love visiting the residents at the nursing home.
